A unique interesting activity combining a walk tour and watching wildlife, its the only park without carnivores and this allows freedom of walking around and one can take a bike for hire and roam around the park.

More than 200 species of birds have been recorded in and around Elsamere. Cruising on Lake Naivasha. When you’ll spot many species of waterfowl and brilliantly coloured kingfishers. (Lake Naivasha is home to the largest waterfowl population in Kenya).

Boat Ride to the Island ( 1Hour): Lake Naivasha is a freshwater lake, unlike Lakes Elementaita, Nakuru and Bogoria which are Soda. It lies at 6,200 feet above sea level, about 95km north of Nairobi in the Great Rift Valley. Crescent Island and the adjacent Lotus Island, home of a Yacht Club, form the rim of an extinct volcano protruding out of this Lake in the shadow of Mount Longonot, also an extinct volcano, close to Hell’s Gate National Park.
Walk at the Park (2 Hours) : There is just one “Crescent Island Game Sanctuary”. Located on Lake Naivasha, in the Great Rift Valley, Kenya. It is one of the most beautiful parks in Kenya and is often called Naivasha’s best-kept secret. Perfect for Wildlife Watching, Bird Enthusiasts, and all fans of the wilderness.

Crescent Island gives you a chance to get out and move while encountering animals on their terms. The boat ride to and from the island is pleasant and allows the opportunity to see large groups of hippos and pelicans, while the island offered zebras, water bucks, wildebeest, vervet monkeys, gazelles, impalas, and giraffes.
The trip there gives you a chance to visit a gorgeous overlook of the Great Rift Valley, which even behind clouds was breathtaking.
Navigating the large Lake Naivasha to the island was great. The animals on the island were
awesome to watch.
